Using Echo Chamber offline
What works without internet, and the one thing that needs it first.
Echo Chamber is designed to work on a plane, in a basement, or anywhere without a signal. The only thing that needs the internet is the one-time speech model download.
Works fully offline
- Recording from any source.
- Transcription, once the model has downloaded.
- Full-text search across your transcripts.
- Editing, summaries, chat, and export.
- Translation, once a language pair has downloaded.
If the speech model has not finished downloading yet, transcription waits. Connect to the internet once to complete the download, then offline use works as expected.
