Focus & Tasks
MOLEHILL
Momentum without pressure, profiling, or shame.
Molehill is built for the moment “I need to do this” turns into “I cannot start.” Private, on-device intelligence turns a project or spoken brain dump into smaller editable actions, then brings one manageable next step into focus. When a step is still too big, one tap splits it into two to four smaller ones that take its place. Speech is transcribed on the iPhone, time estimates roll up so the day has a shape, and Focus mode puts a single step on the screen with a calm timer in the Dynamic Island. There is no streak to defend and no productivity profile to feed. Molehill requires Apple Intelligence. It is a productivity tool rather than medical treatment, and it remains in active development.
Why it exists
Momentum without pressure, profiling, or shame.
Molehill is for the moment a task feels too large to start. Private intelligence turns a brain dump into editable actions, then brings one manageable next step into focus without a streak to protect.

Today shows a single next step with its time estimate, not the whole intimidating list.

Any task becomes small, verb-first steps at the granularity you choose.

Focus mode centres one step with an optional calm timer that survives backgrounding.
No hidden data path
Useful from the first input to the final result.
- 01
Dump It
Speak or type the task, project, or brain dump that feels difficult to start; speech is transcribed on the iPhone.
- 02
Break It Down
On-device intelligence streams smaller, editable steps onto the screen at the granularity you prefer.
- 03
Make It Smaller
When a single step is still too big, split it into two to four smaller ones right where you are stuck.
- 04
Do One Step
Today, the Lock Screen widget, and Focus mode show the next action while the full plan stays available.
What it does
Purpose-built for one private workflow.
One Step at a Time
Today and the widgets surface one manageable action with its time estimate, while the full plan stays one tap away.
Brain Dump, Sorted
Talk or type the swirl and the local model proposes an editable structure across home, work, errands, people, and self-care.
Still Too Big? Split It
Cut a stuck step into two to four smaller ones. Snooze the same step twice and Molehill offers the split before you ask.
No Streaks, No Shame
A gentle interaction model without streak pressure, clinical claims, or punishment for taking a break.
Privacy is architecture
A shorter data path.
A clearer privacy boundary.
Molehill requires Apple Intelligence. Task breakdown, step splitting, and brain-dump sorting run on-device, and speech is transcribed locally, so the app works in airplane mode. Tasks are stored on the iPhone with no cloud copy and no cross-device sync today; steps you export to Apple Reminders or Calendar travel through your own iCloud. Final release details will be documented before launch.

Questions worth asking.
Molehill is being designed for people who feel stuck when a task is too large or vague, including people with ADHD. It turns a brain dump into one concrete next step without presenting itself as medical treatment.
