Export a transcript in four useful formats

When a transcript is ready, choose an export format from the menu. Available formats depend on the installed version and platform; use a short sample to check the layout before exporting an important recording.

The four formats

• TXT, for clean plain text that opens almost anywhere.
• Markdown, for notes apps and documents.
• PDF, for a polished shareable document.
• DOCX, for an editable Microsoft Word document.

   Open a recording

   Go to the transcript you want to share.

   Tap Export and choose a format

   Pick the format that suits where the transcript is headed.

   Share or save

   Send it through the share sheet, save it to Files, or hand it to another app.
