Private AI apps for Apple devicesIndependent studio · Las Vegas, Nevada

Your AI. Your phone. Your business.

Pure privacy.Intelligence onyour terms.

We build apps for people who refuse to trade privacy for convenience. Core intelligence runs on the Apple device in your hands. If a feature connects to a named service, we explain that boundary before you choose it.

Convenience is not consent

Your private life should not be the cost of useful AI.

Obsidian Ridge Labs moves the intelligence to your Apple device instead of moving your life to our servers. Optional connections stay visible and under your control.

The work

Nine private tools.
One uncompromising standard.

Every Obsidian Ridge app begins with the same refusal: private data should not become the price of useful software. Core intelligence stays close to its source, and every optional connection is named before it is used.

Products in development are clearly labeled. Their pages show the private architecture we are building, while final compatibility, pricing, and connected services are published before release.

The shorter data path

The strongest privacy feature is data that never leaves.

Obsidian Ridge Labs puts core intelligence on supported Apple hardware, then treats every network connection as a separate choice that deserves an explanation.

01

Your data stays close

Supported AI features use Apple frameworks or app-bundled models on the hardware already in your hands.

Core path: local
02

The core survives offline

After any required model setup, important work continues without Wi-Fi, cellular service, or permission from our servers.

Network: optional
03

No advertising profile

Your recordings, finances, journals, tasks, wardrobe, study material, belongings, and relationships do not become an Obsidian Ridge advertising identity.

Profiles: none
04

Connections need a reason

Services such as Plaid, iCloud, WeatherKit, purchases, and model downloads are named in context before setup or use.

Boundary: visible
04 / Apple craftOne ecosystem, considered deeply

Native, all the way down

Built for one ecosystem, down to the silicon.

Focusing on Apple lets us build with native performance, system privacy controls, and on-device intelligence from the first sketch, never as an afterthought.

Why we build for Apple
01Neural Engine

Fast local inference built into supported Apple hardware.

02Secure Enclave

System-level protection and biometric access controls.

03Native performance

One codebase shaped around Apple platforms, not a lowest common denominator.

05 / The proofTrust, made inspectable

Proof, not posture

Trust should be inspectable.

Private AI, explained plainly

Questions worth asking before you trust an AI app.

Before an AI app earns your data, it should answer exactly where processing, storage, sync, and optional services happen.

01Who builds private, on-device AI apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac?

Obsidian Ridge Labs is an independent Las Vegas software studio focused on private AI for Apple devices. Echo Chamber is available now for on-device transcription, and Vault, Molehill, Cove, Wove, Mettle, Memora, Trove, and Kith extend the same privacy-first architecture into finance, focus, journaling, wardrobe, strength, learning, home inventory, and relationships.

02What is on-device AI, and how is it different from cloud AI?

On-device AI runs the model on the phone, tablet, or computer in front of you. Cloud AI sends the input to remote infrastructure. Obsidian Ridge Labs prefers the shorter local path for private personal data because it reduces copies, can work offline, and does not require our servers to understand your content.

03Can I use private AI on an iPhone without uploading my data?

Yes. An app can package models or use supported Apple frameworks so transcription, analysis, search, or summarization happens on the iPhone itself. Each Obsidian Ridge Labs product page identifies which work stays local and which optional features, such as a model download or sync service, need a connection.

04Do Obsidian Ridge Labs apps work without an internet connection?

Core workflows are designed to be offline-ready after any required setup or model download. Exact behavior varies by app. App Store purchase verification, optional iCloud sync, optional Plaid bank sync, model downloads, and support requests can require a connection.

05Does on-device AI mean the app never connects to the internet?

Not necessarily. On-device describes where the core AI processing happens; it does not mean every feature is permanently air-gapped. We separate the local processing path from optional network services and explain those services before you enable them.

06How can I tell whether an AI app is actually private?

Start with the data path. Ask where inference runs, what is uploaded, whether an account is required, which SDKs are included, what sync is optional, and how data can be deleted or exported. Obsidian Ridge Labs publishes those boundaries because a privacy claim should describe the system, not ask for blind trust.

The Obsidian standard

Move the intelligence.
Not the private life.

Choose private AI built for the Apple devices already in your hands.
