Set up your first budget
Shape your month in Plan and add optional category limits inside your flexible pool.
Vault's Plan tab divides your month into expected income, fixed commitments, a flexible pool, and goals and reserves. Category budgets are optional guardrails inside the flexible pool, and your safe-to-spend number is paced from what is left.

Open Plan
Tap the Plan tab. This month shows your expected income, fixed commitments, flexible pool, and goals and reserves.

Choose how Vault plans
Under Planning method, pick the approach that fits you. Switching methods never deletes transactions, goals, or limits.

Add a category guardrail
Scroll to Category guardrails and tap Manage, then tap the plus button and choose Custom Budget or Use Template. Pick a category and a monthly limit. You can change it any time.

Save
Vault shows spent against each limit on the Plan tab and keeps your safe-to-spend number on Today up to date.
Yes. Add a budget for each category you want to watch closely. Your overall plan for the month lives on the Plan tab.
