Manual entry is the heart of Vault and it is always free. Every expense you add by hand stays entirely on your iPhone.

Tap the plus button
From the Home screen, tap the plus button to start a new expense.

Enter the amount
Type what you spent. This is the only field you truly need.

Add the details
Optionally add a merchant, date, note, or category. Vault suggests a category for you and learns as you go.

Save
Tap save and your safe-to-spend number updates right away.
Even faster
Ask Siri to add an expense, or use a Home Screen widget, when you do not want to open the app.
