Using Molehill without Apple Intelligence
If your device cannot run Apple Intelligence, Molehill still breaks tasks down.
Not every iPhone can run Apple Intelligence, and that is completely fine. Molehill is built so it is never a dead end.
If Apple Intelligence is not available, Molehill quietly switches to its own built-in engine (a smart set of templates and keyword parsing) to break tasks down and sort your brain dumps. Everything still works today.
When the standard engine is doing the work, Molehill shows a friendly note like "Standard steps. Apple Intelligence isn’t available on this device." No mystery, no missing features hidden behind a wall.
- Task breakdown still works, at every granularity.
- Brain-dump sorting still works.
- Your Lock Screen widget, Focus mode, and timers are entirely unaffected.
And if Apple Intelligence is simply turned off or still setting up, Molehill uses the standard engine in the meantime, then lights up the smarter version automatically once it is ready.
