Birthdays imported from Contacts come across automatically, and you can add anniversaries, memorials, or anything else that matters. Recurring dates roll forward on their own.
A birthday reminder arrives with a Draft a message action, so the notification opens a draft already aimed at the occasion rather than dumping you on a blank screen at 8am.
