Getting started

Adding your first people

Start with ten people rather than two hundred, and why the Contacts picker only sees who you pick.

Resist the urge to import your entire address book. Kith works best with the people you would genuinely be sad to lose touch with, which for most of us is somewhere between ten and forty.

  1. 01

    Pick from Contacts

The system multi-select picker brings people over with their birthdays and phone numbers. Kith never asks for broad access to your whole address book.

  2. 02

    Or add someone manually

A name is enough to start. Everything else can come later.

  3. 03

    Choose a circle

Inner, Close, or Wider. This sets a sensible default reach-out rhythm you can override.

  4. 04

    Log one past interaction

It gives the Warmth Ring somewhere to start from, so Today is useful on day one rather than in a month.
