New-card limits and taming a backlog

Settings has a per-day new-card limit, and it shapes the queue across all your decks rather than per deck. It is the single most useful control in the app.

Every new card you introduce today becomes reviews for weeks. Introducing two hundred in one evening is how people end up with an eight-hundred-card day and quit.

You can also pause individual cards, and sort or filter a deck by due, new, or paused to see exactly what is coming.
