The short version: there is no Cove account, no Obsidian Ridge Labs server that receives your entries, no advertising profile, and no analytics SDK. Reflection runs on your device.
The parts worth stating precisely
- When the private iCloud database is available, journal records can sync through your Apple account. Cove uses this storage path by default, with a local fallback.
- If you turn on Health sync, the moods you log are written into your Health database.
- App Store purchases are verified by Apple, which is how any paid app works.
- Anything you export leaves Cove's protection and inherits the privacy of wherever you put it.
